ABOUT ABOUT

Early in his life, Charles Ives, the renouned American composer, sometimes played in Brewster at the 'Methodist Church.'  The church is still there largely as it was in 1892 when a young Ives first played what is now his most famous work Variations on 'America.'

You are enthusiastically invited to hear Danbury orgainst Zacchaeus Lock play organ works of Ives and those of other American composers. The program includes patriotic singing by the Putnam Chorale Ensemble.
